Another acrylic on canvas. 16x20. I've kinda adopted this image as my logo. the original was a ballpoint pen doodle about .25x.25 inches.

Is that monkey spit or monkeys pit?
Howdy,
Back in the 80's, there was an explosion of self published comics.
I did a few that seemed to be well received by fans and critics alike. I had my flagship title "Fab Ion" which featured my multi-paneled stories, and then there were my single page panels like this one. At the time, if you weren't doing superheroes, there wasn't much of an outlet for your work. So, you did a paste-up of some stuff, took it down to the copy shop, and ran off a bunch of cheap copies. I even went so far as to buy a saddleback stapler (cost $75.00!!!).

Howdy,
Fooled with Grafix Duoshade paper a few times. It basically involves a pre-treated bristol board and two developing solutions. First draw your picture as you normally would, ink it and then brush on the first developer for a lightly lined effect. Now, brush on the second one for a darker area. It was a lot easier than laying in a bunch of Zipatone pieces to get the effect you wanted. Of course this was back in the days before computers (Damn kids, I remember back in the day...).
Never got as proficient as say, Al Williamson or the master Wally Wood but I enjoyed the process.

Old Joke
President Bush, First Lady Laura and Dick Cheney were flying on Air
Force One.
George looked at Laura, chuckled and said, 'You know, I could throw a
$1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.'
Laura shrugged her shoulders and replied, 'I could throw ten $100 bills
out of the window and make ten people very happy.'
Cheney added, 'That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills
out
of the window and make a hundred people very happy.'
Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his
co-pilot,'Such big-shots back there. Sh*t, I could throw all of y'all @sses
out
of the window and make 56 million people very happy.'

Garageband Addictions pt.1
Howdy,
Got addicted to Garageband last year. Here's a song I did using clips from
"Dwrayger Dungeon Presents- Music From the Monster Movies 1950-69" (link on right).
I forget what clips they are, maybe someone could enlighten me if they want.

Howdy,
Here's a story that never got published (story of my life).
My good friend Gary Wray (Tabonga) got a script from Terry Beatty of "Ms. Tree" fame, and invited me to join in the fun.
I penciled it and inked most of it and lettered it. Gary inked the zombie and did the Zipatone. The "Mad Magazine feel was all my invention, as none of it was in the script. Terry was elated with the interpretation, especially the wretching Pooh bear on the last page. Sorry the scans are dark in some spots, they were done off of copy machine copies (it was 1982).
Enjoy "The Three Bears Meet the Flesh-Eating Zombie From Beyond the Grave!"
