Influence File #1
Howdy,
One of my earliest memories of art that stuck with me. "Ferdinand" written by Munro Leaf and illustrated by Robert Lawson.
Originally published in 1936, these scans come from my copy of the twenty-fifth printing, 1960.
I remember going to the bookmobile in Wichita, Kansas and getting this book along with others about dinosaurs and bats.
Probably where my love of crosshatching and line drawings began.
